Known throughout the South West for its high quality meats, Brian Etherington of Wheal Rose, Scorrier, Redruth, opens its new farm shop on November 17. As well as selling a full range of quality meats and meat products the shop will sell local produce including fish, vegetables and dairy. It will also house a baker making pasties from a long standing family recipe.

In the New Year Etheringtons will also be opening Cornwall's first bespoke butchery school. The Butchery academy will teach traditional skills to the next generation of butchers in a bid to save this historic trade.
