Cornwall's First Whiskey For 300 Years

It's taken seven years for David Healey of Healey's Cornish Cyder farm to age the first batch of whiskey produced in the county for 300 years. Working in association with St Austell Brewery the whiskey is made from Cornish Maris Otter barley and spring water and has been aged in American bourbon charred casks. Unfortunately few of us will get to sample what has been described as "among the best debut bottlings of the last decade" because its limited supply sees it coming to the market at £150 per half litre bottle. That is some serious Christmas present.....
