New research shows that 30% of all employment in Cornwall are food related, with the agriculture and food and drink sectors accounting for 63,700 jobs. This provides a massive £1.4 billion to the gross turnover in the county or 18%.

The research has been undertaken by Exeter University and Cornwall Food and Drink Ltd for the Cornwall Development Company and will hopefully add fuel to calls for proper recognition of the sector in future planning.
