Ready For The Royal Cornwall
Sunday, 15 May 2011
There are 52 exhibitors within the Cornish Food and Farming Pavilion at this year's Royal Cornwall Show including five for whom it is their first appearance.
There will also be a number of products on show for the first time with a couple of producers taking the opportunity to use the Royal Cornwall for major launches, some of which cannot be revealed until the very first day of the Show.
Another great feature will be evidence of cooperation between producers to bring new products to the market. Examples to be seen will be Sargie's Cornish Kitchen and Simply Cornish teaming up to produce a saffron bread pudding; Boddington's Berries, Rodda's clotted cream and Crepe Cuisine join forces to deliver a variation on the Cornish cream tea; and Kernow Sausages and Skinner's Brewery have come up with Betty's Bangers using Betty Stogs national award winning ale.
Other new products will include a luxury Christmas cake from Simply Cornish; a hot horseradish mustard from Cornish Meadow Preserves; and a classic coarse duck pate laced with fine cognac produced by the Cornish Duck Company. Other new foods to excite the palate will be Cornish Wheal, a semi soft cheese from Whalesborough Farm Foods; Cornish cream tea fudge from the Cornish Maid Fudge Shop; and a probiotic live organic drinking yogurt from Helsett Farm.
These are just some of the exciting new foods coming from the fertile minds of Cornish producers which you will be able to experience at the Show.
New to the Royal Cornwall this year will be the Big Buns Cake Company of Fowey; Cornish foodmarket.co.uk who are a new on line food shopping service; Cornish Maids Fudge Shop of Polperro; Cornish Patisserie; Cornwall Food and Drink Ltd who will be hosting a series of food demonstrations by some of Cornwall?s finest chefs; and Tamar Valley Herbs.
