Camel Valley Vineyards have been producing award-winning, world-class wines in a beautiful corner of Cornwall since 1989. Founders Bob and Annie Lindo, now with son Sam at the helm, have earned world recognition for the wines they produce and for the application of their skills in production. With an idyllic setting on sun-drenched slopes near the famous Camel River; excellent grapes that perfectly suit the soil and climate; a respect for traditional vineyard practices combined with a modern approach to wine making and, most importantly, a passion for creating wines that provide pure pleasure it is no wonder that Camel Valley wines are so highly regarded.

There are periodic tours of the vines and production plant or one can simply enjoy the view from the shop terrace where wine is served by the glass.

There are very few vineyards in the world that have only ever been pruned by just one person and Annie Lindo is one of those select few.  Annie’s vineyard is her pride and joy and every year for 22 years, she alone has pruned her own 5000 vines.  To commemorate her 100,000th vine pruned, the millionth cut by hand with secateurs, and her 20th vintage, her son, ‘UK winemaker of the year’ Sam, made this anniversary Cuvée.

product-shots-camelvalley9Camel Valley Rose

A light rosé with intense strawberry aromas.  This rosé has been made dry and goes beautifully with barbecued mackerel, and is perfect for sipping al fresco, a real hammock wine!  Made from 100% Pinot Noir.

product-shots-camelvalley5Camel Valley Red

Hand-picked Rondo grapes are crushed and then cold-soaked for 4 days to extract maximum fruit aromas, something learned by Sam Lindo whilst at Kim Crawford’s winery in New Zealand. This produces a cool-climate style wine: red, spicy and fresh. Excellent with food, especially oily fish. Best served at 13C (room temperature in Iceland!), so please don’t stick it on the Aga to warm up a bit!

product-shots-camelvalley92012 Cuvée Raymond Blanc De Noir, Rosé Sparkling

Raymond Blanc de Noir rosé was made to celebrate Raymond’s visit to Camel Valley to film  ‘Raymond Blanc’s Christmas’.  Raymond picked grapes at Camel Valley and helped load the press; he cooked a famous meal with Annie Lindo in her farmhouse kitchen using Camel Valley’s own wild salmon.  This limited release was made to honour that great occasion. ‘Cuvée Raymond’ is exclusively available from Le Manoir and Camel Valley.
