Located on the northern edge of Bodmin Moor in a converted cow barn, Penpont Brewery produces a fine range of craft beers in bottles and cask, plus a bottle conditioned lager and a very tasty alcoholic ginger beer. The brewery uses its own spring water and has won a number of awards and accolades.

A light golden beer, bursting with hop flavour. Fruity and citrus hop notes combine with a light malty backbone and subtle oak and vanilla notes. This beer was created to showcase the wonderful flavours that can be produced with skillful brewing using carefully selected hops from the USA, UK and New Zealand combined with finest English barley. ABV 4.2%

A golden red, a lovely refreshing ale. This beer was developed to have a light quaffable beer, that was not overly floral but still had distinctive hop notes with some malt complexity. Arvor is Cornish for Coast. ABV 4%

The result of a collaboration with the Cornwall Rural Community Council (CRCC). An Howl is Cornish for ‘the sun’ and is a powerfully hopped strong golden ale. Since it’s launch this has been very popular in bottles and on draught. Gold Winner of the Taste of the West Bottled Beer Award 2011. ABV 5.6%

Brewed in the style of traditional London porters. A full bodied ale with strong chocolate and liquorice flavours. Available only in bottles. Winner of several awards at the SIBA South West Beer competition. ABV 5.8%

Gold Medal winner at the SIBA South West Beer Festival 2011. Launched in Spring 2010, our ginger beer is a traditionally made, smooth and fiery ginger beer. From winter 2011 the Ginger Beer is filtered in bottles, for superior quality, and ease of serving. ABV 4.2%

This is a well hopped amber ale, lovely flavour along with a medium bitterness. Roughtor (pronounced Row-tor) is the second tallest hill in Cornwall, situated on Bodmin Moor, near Brown Willy. ABV 4.7%

A deep golden ale, with fruity and tangerine hop notes. Named for the infamous stretch of the North Cornish and Devon Coast. Penpont’s bestselling ale. Available in casks and bottles. ABV 4.4%

A strong golden ale, brewed with a slow fermenting yeast and a carefully selected range of hops to give this beer its unique taste. Cascade, Motueka and First Gold hops are used to give this beer a fantastic tropical fruit and citrus hop flavour that lingers. ABV 7.0%

Brewed with a traditional blend of malts to give a dark wonderfully malty flavour with great depth. A Belgian style yeast is used, along with a low hopping rate to match brewing practices in the medieval period. Juniper and a secret blend of herbs and spices are added to give the beer a slight bitterness and a subtle complex flavour. ABV 6.4%
