Cornish cheeses made their mark at this year’s British Cheese Awards held at the Bath and West Showground.
Gold Award winners were Cornish Cheese Company’s ‘Cornish Blue’, Cornish Kern and Wild Garlic Yarg both from the Lynher Dairies stable, and Davidstow Extra Mature Cheddar from Saputo Dairies. Saputo’s Cheddar was named Champion in its class, and Wild Garlic Yard was also came out top in its class.
Close on their heels with Silver Awards were Curds and Croust’s ‘The Truffler’, Cornish Yarg from Lynher, and Saputo’s Reduced Fat Cheddar.
Bronze Awards went to Curds and Croust’s ‘Boy Laity’ and @Smokey Duke’, Padstow Cheese Company’s ‘Ele’ Potted Lemon and Thyme, and Potted Blue.
