Cornish Food Box takes over Lillie Brothers doorstep deliveries

Cornish Food Box, owned by CFFG Chair Lucy Jones and sister Tor Amran, have taken over Lillie Bros doorstep delivery service from Trewithen Dairies. The wholesale part has gone to Hunts Food Services of Sherborne.

This means Cornish Food Box, in their Lillie Brothers livery, are now doing a twice weekly doorstep delivery service of milk and other essentials across mid Cornwall (Falmouth, Penryn, Redruth, Camborne, Newquay and the villages around these towns).  In taking on the business, the 4 milkmen in Lillie’s have retained their jobs and the essential doorstep service which is so valuable to many older and housebound people has been continued.

One of the main things being changed is that the bottled milk supply from Muller-owned Milk and More of Aldershot, Hampshire, has been moved to Green Cow Dairy based at Grampound and for organic Treen Farm (plus Riverford as Treen don’t have enough at the moment).

This means people will be having Cornish milk in glass bottles delivered by their local milk man/woman.

Cornish Food Box are also making product swaps throughout the Lillie Bros range to local producers where possible.
