Portreath Bakery was established in 1988 and has retail shops in Portreath and in Lanner. Its famed Cornish pasties and other bakery products can be bought on-line, in addition to which the company boasts the world’s first Cornish Pasty drive-through at its Wilson Way, Pool bakery which also features a 100 seat restaurant. The Pool bakery features a bakery school which is partnered with Cornwall College for an apprenticeship programme. It also has a purpose built gluten-free baking facility.
Portreath Bakery takes pride in using as many Cornish ingredients as possible in its baking including vegetables from Potfresh; meat from Robert Trevarthen, milk and cream from Rodda’s and Rosedown eggs.
