Prima Bakeries
Prima Bakeries is an employee-owned wholesale bakery. Founded in 1978 it produces some 200 different lines. Originally established as a pizza base manufacturer, the business quickly evolved into the fully fledged craft bakery it is today, and operates in conjunction with Cornish Premier Pasties.
There is a shop at Scorrier and also at Newlyn plus an on-line shop on their website.
Bread
Whole and sliced loaves, bread rolls.
Cakes
A wide range of traditional cakes and biscuits including scones, teacakes, saffron cake, yeast buns, hevva cake, splits, flapjacks, doughnuts and sponges.
Pasties and Pies
Producing a range of pasties, pies, pizzas and quiche. At the 2015 World Pasty Championships, Prima Bakeries gained 1st place for their Peppered Steak Pasty and 2nd place for their traditional Cornish steak pasty. They’ve had a top 3 position in the World Pasty Championships 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019, and continue to receive awards.

Cornish pasties by post from Prima Bakeries Redruth Ab sol amazing pasties. Arrived frozen, well packaged very fresh and all in perfect condition and with their own bag to eat them from. Love it. Sampled one immediate and cooked from frozen as advised. Altered temp for fan over to 180c. 50 mins cooking, 30 mins rest. Delicious, very well filled and seasoned to perfection.
