The Primrose Herd farm is located in beautiful Cornish countryside, tucked away from the outside world and equidistant between the north and south coasts. The area is a World Heritage Site, and mine ruins dot the landscape.

The farm is a family affair, the dedicated pursuit of Sally and Bill Lugg, and their three children, who all play a part in the hands-on business of producing top quality pork cuts, bacon and sausages.

Their traditional and non-intensive approach to animal husbandry produces excellent marbling in the meat, a good meat and fat ratio, and a more developed flavour. All aspects of production take place in-house, allowing them complete control.

Purchases can be made at the farm, on-line, or at local farmers’ markets.

All cuts of pork from sausages through to all types of joints and even pork burgers.

  1. Excellent quality pork, great service. Pork arrives well packed and in good condition. Have used them many times and will continue to do so. Highly recommend.

  2. Hello Sally and Bill,

I am an Australian writing a novel set in Lincolnshire with scenes in Luton and Cornwall. I would like to mention your farm as a favourable supplier to a fictitious butcher shop in Putteridge. Would you be agreeable to that? If you’d prefer more details before deciding, let me know. I’d be happy to send you a couple of chapters to read. The book is set in 2007. Was your farm in operation then?

    Kind regards,
    Mark Anthony James

    1. Hi Mark. Food from Cornwall is just a listing website, but I have passed you enquiry on to Primrose Herd who will no doubt contact you direct.
