The store was grubby, the staff were indifferent and the frozen foods looked as if they had been frozen for too long. As a local I will not recommend this store or go there again.
We use the shop regularly, and the vegetables and fruit are wonderful and fresh. Owners are always helpful and knowledgeable. Much better than buying supermarket vegs., most of which comes packed in non-recyclable plastic. There is a good range of organic produce as well, and another room out the back which stocks all sorts of goodies, from organic coffee to tinned tomatoes, porrige and even meat and milk. This is by far the best place to buy fresh vegetables and healthy food that I’m aware of.
Rather shocked and surprised to read the other review! It’s a FARM SHOP, not a sterile supermarket environment. I do wonder whether the previous reviewer actually knows that vegetables are grown in soil!
