Trewithen Cornish Farm Dairy
Trewithen Dairy grew from generations of dairy farming, with processing starting in 1994. It now produces a full range of bottled milks, clotted and liquid cream, butter, yoghurt and creme fraiche.
Cornish Yoghurt
Trewithen’s Cornish Yoghurt comes as natural, strawberry and honey or as toffee and apple flavour.
Cornish Clotted Cream
Cornish clotted cream has a protected designation of origin within the European Union: if it’s not made in Cornwall, it’s not Cornish clotted cream!
Cornish clotted cream is made by gently scalding fresh unpasteurised milk in a shallow pan then leaving it for 12 hours to form its famous crust and clots. It must have a minimum butterfat content of 55%.
Remember that for a proper Cornish cream tea always spread the jam on the scone before putting on your dollop of cream.
Creme Fraiche
Cornish Butter
Available salted or unsalted and also as “spreadable”.
