W Harvey & Sons

W Harvey & Sons are the prime suppliers of crab meat in Cornwall and were founded in 1955.

Crabs are the core part of their business, stored in seawater holding tanks for the shortest period to ensure top quality for customers.

Crabs

Crab processing factories cook and process live crabs in to fresh cooked crabs, vacuum packed pasteurised crabs, vacuum packed frozen crabs, crabmeats and dressed crabs.

Lobsters

Harvey’s only buy lobsters from The South Western Approaches. Some lobsters are net caught so they are able to supply “jumbo” lobsters for display purposes. Normally the smaller the lobster the higher the price.

Scallops

Scallops meats are “shucked” or cut year round, lightly washed and packed within the factory. The meats are sold either fresh or frozen.

Crevettes (large cooked and frozen prawns)

Sold per kilo/500g. Ready to eat, but can be cooked in a variety of ways. These are great on the barbeque cooked with the shells on.

Peeled prawns cooked and frozen

Sold per kilo/500g/250g. Ready to eat

Fresh crayfish tails in brine

Sold in the bucket and ready to eat!

Mussels

Live in the shell per kilo/500g.

Smoked Haddock

Sold as many fillets as required, priced per kilo Can be cooked very easily in a pan of milk.

Smoked Kippers

Sold as many fillets as required, priced per kilo.

Roll mop herrings

Sold per roll mop. Ready to eat

Smoked Mackerel Plain or Peppered

Sold as many fillets as required, priced per kilo.

Smoked Salmon

Sold per 250g packs. Ready to eat. Fabulous when used as a crab and prawn parcel.

Anchovies garlic / oriental / Provençal

Sold per kilo/125g or to customers needs. Ready to eat
